Lila Peña, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC

Lila Pena is a Family Nurse Practitioner who believes healthcare is at its best when it is personal, accessible, and relationship-based. She has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2012 and brings more than 25 years of nursing experience, having entered the nursing profession in 1995.

Lila earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas–Pan American in 2000, her Master of Science in Nursing in 2012, and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at Texas A&M University in 2024. Her education and clinical background support her focus on evidence-based care, patient education, and thoughtful clinical leadership.

After working in traditional healthcare environments—including hospital care, home health, and correctional healthcare—Lila chose the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model to allow for more time with patients and a greater focus on preventive care and long-term health management. The DPC model supports transparent care delivery and emphasizes continuity, access, and meaningful communication between patient and provider.

Lila provides comprehensive primary care services for adults, women, and older adults, with care plans individualized to each patient’s needs and stage of life. Her clinical interests include health education, disease prevention, and wellness-focused care.

In addition to primary care services, Lila has over 10 years of experience and training in aesthetic services. She approaches aesthetic care with a strong emphasis on patient safety, informed consent, and individualized treatment planning. Her goal is to support natural-appearing results that align with each patient’s preferences while maintaining professional standards of care.

Lila values collaboration, patient education, and shared decision-making. She believes clear communication and patient involvement are essential to building trust and supporting long-term health.

Outside of her professional role, Lila is a devoted wife and mother of two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, and her life is grounded in Christ-centered values that guide her commitment to service, integrity, and compassion in both her personal and professional life.
